Two adults were killed early Monday morning in a tragic two-vehicle collision involving an unlicensed juvenile driver, according to the Madera Police Department.

The crash happened just before 6 a.m. on October 13, 2025, at the intersection of Avenue 16 and Road 23 in rural Madera County.

    Collision Details

When officers arrived, they found a male juvenile standing outside one of the vehicles while two adults were trapped inside the other. Emergency responders attempted life-saving measures, but both victims died at the scene from their injuries.

Investigators say the juvenile driver was traveling eastbound on Avenue 16 without headlights on when he failed to stop at a stop sign and collided with the victims’ vehicle.

    Ongoing Investigation

Police noted that drugs and alcohol do not appear to be factors in the crash.
The investigation remains active as authorities work to determine additional details surrounding the incident.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Sergeant Short at (559) 675-4239 or the Watch Commander at (559) 675-4220.
