Fresno Police have arrested two people in connection with the fatal stabbing of 38-year-old Alejandro Garcia, who was killed during a confrontation at his southeast Fresno home late last month.
Detectives say a third suspect remains at large.
Deadly Confrontation on September 28
According to investigators, Laura Castillo, 45, and Joey Fernandez, 43, along with another unidentified man, confronted Garcia at his residence near Garrett and Barton avenues on September 28, 2025.
During the dispute, Fernandez allegedly stabbed Garcia multiple times in the upper body, police said. Garcia was rushed to Community Regional Medical Center, where he later died from his injuries.
Arrests and Charges
Detectives arrested Castillo the following day while serving a search warrant at a Fresno residence.
Fernandez, who was already in custody on unrelated charges, was formally charged with murder on October 10.
Both suspects are now being held as the investigation continues.

Police are still searching for the third suspect involved in the attack.
